The best floral color combinations
Deep reds, ocean blues, sunny yellows … there are so many gorgeous colors to choose from when it comes to planning your nuptials! If you haven’t quite decided yet on a color scheme for your wedding, consider basing your decision off of which florals go stunningly when paired together. Here are a few color combinations that brides are going crazy about for their wedding day:
Orange and green
This color combo goes great with a wedding set for any season, but works especially well for summer and fall weddings. For a summer affair, Better Homes and Gardens suggests slipping in some accents of white into your bouquet to keep things bright. For fall or winter, consider adding some hints of brown to match the warm feel of the season.
Orange and blue
For these two colors, The Knot recommends a burnt orange hue paired with a sky blue color. This bold combination complement each other to create a brilliant palette. Try a few hues of orange in the bouquet. An arrangement of light and dark oranges work well for a spring or summer wedding. To incorporate the contrasting color, try blue hydrangeas – a favorite of Better Homes and Gardens.
Purple and blue
These two colors truly complement each other to create an arrangement of brilliantly colored buds. This color harmony works well whether the colors are deep and vibrant or light and pastel-like. Both are perfect for spring nuptials! Talk to your florist and play around with various hues of purple and blue to create a mix of color that works the best for your wedding.
Gray and yellow
This beautiful duo of neutral grays and brilliantly bright yellows work together to create a fun and elegant mood. Martha Stewart Wedding suggests a romantic arrangement of yellow daffodils. As for that touch of grey, consider adding silver brunia berry to your bouquet not only for a different color, but to vary the texture and look of the blooms as well.
Orange and bright pink
This combination is for the boldest of brides. These two colors shine brightly together to create an adventurous and summer-like palette. Better Homes and Gardens paired Gerbera daisies and roses for a fresh variety of beautiful blooms. These colors are also super easy to incorporate into a wedding. Add an orange or bright pink sash on the bridesmaid’s dresses for a splash of color to bring the whole look together.
