Black Tie Bride is a national blog that features classic, timeless weddings that are full of flare and sophistication. They look for events that are “well-structured, [with] understated details that reflect the self-assured style & personal taste of the couple rather than the popular trends of the time.” We’re not surprised that Laura and Skylar’s elegant wedding attracted this blog’s attention. Their classic sense of style shines through in every element from the rings, to the exquisite gown, to the sharp accessories, to the flowers of course!
To match their elegant style, we created a romantic bouquet in classic shades of white and blush with a few pops of pink. This bouquet featured standard roses for a traditional wedding look, but also mixed in fluffy peonies and ranunculus for delicate texture. All the extra texture adds volume and body to the design, softening the look and inspiring thoughts of a romantic garden setting.
Laura could not have looked more beautiful in her fitted lace gown from Lillian Lottie Couture. The mermaid silhouette suited her wonderfully, especially with the gently flaring skirt. Her bridesmaids wore chiffon gowns in neutral beige–the perfect canvas to set off their colorful pink bouquets! Each bouquet was crafted entirely with standard and spray roses in all different shades of pink. What a perfect combination!
The guys looked absolutely dashing in classic black suits. Skylar threw down some contemporary flare with a skinny black tie and a smart leather wristwatch. The boutonnieres we created for the groom and his groomsmen also felt a little more contemporary thanks to the pairing of white ranunculus with silver billy balls.
We created lovely little table arrangements for their reception centerpieces. Each centerpiece featured fluffy white hydrangea, delicate pink roses, and fragrant white stock in cubed vases. Laura and Skylar’s cake, which was designed by Piece Of Cake Desserts, was a work of art all on its own! We couldn’t get enough of the beautifully textured layers, and that cake floral was just to die for (with flowers provided by yours truly of course!)
Thank you for making us a part of your special day, guys! We love your sophisticated style and we were thrilled to create floral arrangements to match. This is just the beginning of your long and prosperous life together, so good luck on the road ahead, we hope you’ll find plenty of joy and love along the way!
