How to coordinate beautiful, memorable centerpieces
You might already have the perfect flowers picked out for your bridal bouquet, but have you thought about which ones you will be using for your centerpieces? Here are a few tips for offering your reception tables a unique touch.
1. Don't limit yourself to one color.
While you might be inclined to choose the same beautiful centerpiece for each table, CasaSugar.com, an interior design advice site, recommends color blocking. For instance, consider selecting two different centerpieces, created from a variety of hues, and placing each at every other table in order to create a more intriguing look.
2. Enclose your centerpieces.
One unique option that more wedding planners are using (including David Tutera, host of WeTV's My Fair Wedding) is the enclosed centerpiece. This means creating an arrangement in a glass jar or bottle to create an unusual yet elegant focal point for tables.
Annie Selke, owner of home furnishings company Pine Cone Hill, told the news source that a twist on this idea is housing flowers underneath glass goblets on the dinner tables, which is bound to make for a chic display. Just remember to be mindful of the size of your tables, as well as the height of your centerpieces – you want your guests to be able to comfortably dine at your reception, and speak to each other from across the table.
3. Stick with traditional blooms.
Better Homes and Gardens Magazine says that there is no better way to please the masses than with classic flowers such as roses, tiger lilies and peonies. Best of all, these blossoms come in numerous, bright colors, which means you have a variety of options from which to choose.
